RIP: Rapper Bad Azz Dead At 43

One of Snoop Dogg's closest friends in the game has passed away.

Rapper Bad Azz passed away while being held in custody at a detention center in Riverside, CA.

Police say no foul play was involved in his death. Guards allegedly were performing a security check when they noticed Bad Azz was in need of medical assistance.

His death is unclear but he was picked up on Friday on a domestic violence charge and had an upcoming court date Tuesday.

‘Belly’ Actor Louie Rankin Dies

Louie Rankin known for his role in the movie "Belly" died in a car crash.

According to TMZ, the crash reportedly involved a transport truck and another vehicle.

Hip-Hop Pioneer Jimmy Spicer Dead At 61

                                        

Rest in peace to one of the early pioneering MCs of hip-hop Jimmy Spicer.

According to the New York Times, Spicer passed away after battling brain cancer and lung cancer. Spicer was 61 years old.

During an interview, Nasty Nas recalls when he received an angry phone from the Notorious Biggie.

After Ghostface Killah pointed out the similarities between Nas' 1994 "Illmatic" album cover and Biggie's "Ready to Die" album, Nas got a big call from Big.

Nas says, "he was a little disappointed cause he wasn't trying to bite off my sh*t."

The "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" in his name is in discussion for a name change or complete scrap after allegations stemming from the "Leaving Neverland" documentary.

Reports also say there's talk about those who would present the award or accept the award in MJ's name.

MJ received the Vanguard Award in 1988 and MTV renamed it in his honor in 1991.

You Can Rent Biggie's Brooklyn Childhood Home For...


Biggie’s infamous “one-room shack” from his rags-to-riches journey is now up for rent.
According to Complex, the property at 226 St. James Place has been renovated into a "three-bedroom home with high ceilings and hardwood floors" but still has the original  windows and moldings.
For a rate of $4,000 per month, you can rent out Big's old crib. Would you be down?

Jermaine Hopkins Says Tupac Got Shot At After Yelling...

Jermaine Hopkins reveals a story of Pac being robbed by a kid on the set of the film Juice.

According to Hopkins, the kid from Harlem might've been linked to a dispute Pac had with some local guys.

He suspects shots may have been fired due to Pac yelling out "F*CK NEW YORK" or because the film crew impeded street business from operating.

Big dreams just came true for the Notorious B.I.G.

The corner of St James Place and Fulton Street in Bed-Stuy has officially been named "Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace Way."

Lil Kim who attended the ceremony in Brooklyn says, “I always knew this day was gonna come...I used to dream about a street being named after Biggie, because it was only right.”
Biggie grew up steps away at 226 St. James Place.

RIP: Geto Boys' Bushwick Bill Dead At 52


Legendary Geto Boys' rapper Bushwick Bill passed away at the age of 52.

The hip-hop icon Bushwick Bill fought a battle against pancreatic cancer.

Bushwick was set to embark on a "F*ck Cancer" tour beginning in June but due to his illness the tour was postponed. 

Reports say Bill died surrounded by his family in a Houston hospital. RIP Bushwick.

Madonna Loses Tupac...

Pop icon Madonna has lost her appeal to block the sale of a personal item.

The breakup letter from her ex Tupac Shakur will be put on sale next month. 

Madonna's appeal failed to stop the letter and her personal items which are being sold by a former friend and art consultant. 

In the handwritten breakup letter, Tupac confesses he ended ties with Madonna because she's white.

Tupac Shakur's Estate Makes A Deal For...


The Shakur Estate and director Allen Hughes closed a major deal for Pac's legacy.

Hughes will be granted "full access to all of Tupac Shakur’s released and unreleased recordings, writings and poetry." 

Therefore, Hughes will use Pac's assets to direct and executively produce a five-part documentary series for TV. 
The Tupac documentary is said to be the first "definitive, comprehensive project on Shakur with the full cooperation of the estate."
