Quarterback Deshaun Watson has requested a trade from the Houston Texans, league sources say.

Watson made the request to the team weeks ago, sources told ESPN.

Texans' new head-coaching hire, David Culley, has not and will not alter Watson's thinking, sources told ESPN, and the quarterback allegedly hasn't spoken to the new Texans general manager Nick Caserio or executive Jack Easterby.

Watson signed a four-year, $156 million contract extension in September and is under contract through the 2025 season.
