Jay Z Reportedly Pulls Out Of....


The creators of the original Woodstock festival planned to put on a 50th anniversary concert throughout many setbacks.
Just one month before the festival kicks off, Woodstock has faced permit denials, loss of financial partners, and has even changed the city for the festival.
To top it all off, the festival released all artists of their contract giving them the option to perform or not. Headlining artists like Jay Z have pulled out of the festival.
The festival is now completely free and taking place August 16-18 (or not).

Why Did Prince Turn Down Nas?



During an interview Nas reveals that in the late 90's Prince turned him down for a proposed collab.

Nas says at his 'I Am..." album release party he told Prince, "Yo, look, man, let’s do this. Let’s do this song.’ And he was like, ‘Do you own your masters?’ But he blew my s–t because I was like, ‘I don’t. And I’m far from it, because I owe this label like four, five albums’ . . . I was like, ‘Damn.’ ”

Nas said after the party Prince taught him a valuable lesson in saying "When you own your masters, give me a ring.”

MTV Considering Removing Michael Jackson From...


MTV is considering removing Michael Jackson's name from their Video Vanguard Award.

The "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" in his name is in discussion for a name change or complete scrap after allegations stemming from the "Leaving Neverland" documentary.

Reports also say there's talk about those who would present the award or accept the award in MJ's name.

MJ received the Vanguard Award in 1988 and MTV renamed it in his honor in 1991.
